hello darling!
Hugs for venturing to my little blog! I’m a military spouse, mama of 3, and an adventurous soul hoping to create meaningful content that will make things just a smidge bit easier in your world.
Here you’ll find tips on life being a military spouse, motherhood, a few other things sprinkled in and all things plant based & natural.
Before you deep dive into my blog, let me share a little about how it all came to be.
I grew up in Harrisburg, PA and spent most of my youth on the basketball court. Ball was LIFE. So much so that I got recruited to play in college. I ended up tearing my ACL and part of my meniscus my senior year in a preseason game (sigh). So I decided to hang up my kicks and focus on life after college. I graduated from college in 2011 with a degree in Management and got a job right out of school working for the company I interned with the year prior.
About a year and a half after graduating, I secretly married my high school sweetheart during my 30 minute lunch break while working in a toy store on Black Friday. I didn’t tell anyone I was married for almost a year. True story!
The hubs is active duty in the Navy and after a year of being married we got stationed in Texas. It was there when I finally had to admit I didn’t enjoy working in the business world.
After 4 years of college, a management degree, & 5 years in corporate America, I made a career change.
The hubs recommended teaching. I tried it out and fell in love. My first year teaching I got pregnant with my first kiddo and wasn’t able to complete a full academic year.
A the end of 2018 we moved to Guam and I started working as a 5th grade teacher at the start of the 2019-20 school year. A month into the school year we found out we were expecting, again. Not one baby but two. I ended up leaving my position in February.
Now, here I am, 3 kiddos under 3 later. I realized I needed something that could keep me occupied when not busy being a mama and loving my hubs since work isn’t an option right now.
In July of 2020 I decided I was going to start a blog. Lo and behold, Lastly, it’s Ashley was born.
